The Mali Justice Project (MJP) is a major USAID initiative to enhance efficiency in the justice sector and increase access to justice and to support the Government of Mali to reduce corruption along the trade corridors. Management Systems International (MSI) leads one of the three components of the project focused on reducing corruption in trade corridors. The component seeks to reduce the level of corruption along the Sikasso-Koury and Sikasso-Heremakono trade corridors and increase trade, develop a reporting system for roadside corruption, and increase education initiatives and public awareness of corruption activities along the trade corridor.
MJP is planning a study tour to Rwanda for representatives of the government, civil society and the private sector to learn Rwanda’s experience and best practices in trade corridor management, promotion of public integrity, and anti-corruption efforts. Rwanda is internationally acknowledged for sound governance and widely seen as successful in implementing sound anti-corruption reforms.
Transparency International-Rwanda (TI-Rwanda) will be assisting MJP in organizing the study tour. MJP seeks a qualified individual to provide short-term technical assistance and leadership to the study tour working in close coordination with MJP staff and Transparency International-Rwanda. The total level of effort for this assignment will be 13 days.
